On 11`th of July the corrections of regulation on public aid granted to certain entrepreneurs for the implementation of new investments introduces will enters into force.
It sets new quantitative criteria for companies that conduct business activity in border counties, including those located in the area managed by Suwałki Special Economy Zone e.g. the city of Suwałki.
The expected change to the regulation will allow entrepreneurs to invest within the Polish Investment Zone, as the quantitative criteria (investment thresholds) have been lowered and equalized with those that apply in medium-sized cities losing their socio-economic functions.
In addition, the new regulation allows companies involved in the production of weapons and ammunition to apply for a decision on support and benefit from the exemption from PIT or CIT tax on new investments.

We kindly remind the rates of the public aid in Suwałki (THE HIGHEST STATE AID IN POLAND) – exemption from CIT or PIT – amounts to:
- 50% in the case of large enterprises
- 60% in the case of medium-sized enterprises
- 70% in the case of small-sized and micro-sized enterprises of incurred eligible costs.
